Typical
sampling procedures undertaken during a Type 2 and
3 Survey

THOMSON LTD provides
a range of surveys individually tailored to meet client
requirements in the most effective and cost efficient
manner.
- Type 2: This survey is similar
to type 1, except that samples are collected from each
type of suspected ACM and analysed for the presence (and
type) of asbestos.
- Type 3: This in an extension
of a type 2 and is usually undertaken prior to major demolition
or refurbishment. The aim of this survey is to try and
locate and identify all asbestos containing materials
present in the building.
An Asbestos Survey Report
details the location, extent and condition of the ACM's
identified or suspected during the survey.
