Cook and Endeavour House, Middlesbrough
The final piece of the jigsaw for the major redevelopment of Middlesbrough City Centre, this former Bank headquarters will form the new Holiday Inn Hotel.
This project had been looked at by several developers previously and had not been considered a viable proposition. However, with foresight and professionalism, Ashall Property has worked in-conjunction with Lucion and ourselves to get this project over the line.
We have the usual constraints of working on a site with restricted access times and tight logistics, as is the case with prime City Centre properties.
The tender process for this project was stringent and we were the only company to present a 100 per cent fully compliant bid. Our methodology for removing sprayed asbestos insulation brought a different perspective to the site team. Our proposed methods have given the main contractor added value and contract improvement with access from week 10 of the project rather than week 22 as first anticipated.
The sheer volume of the sprayed asbestos makes this one of the largest projects undertaken within the industry in the North East in the last 5 years. We are proud to be associated with Ashall’s, Lucion an Bowmer & Kirkland on this prestigious site as it underlines our capabilities and shows just what can be achieved when done professionally.
